The Gardiner Museum celebrates creativity, wonder, and community through the art of clay and ceramics. They engage audiences with exhibitions, programs, and hands-on classes, while caring for a vast collection of historical and contemporary ceramic works.

The museum interprets history to highlight its relevance today, and supports both emerging and established Canadian artists. They believe in the power of making, looking, and thinking through clay to foster a deeper understanding of the art form.

Over 5,000 objects from the Ancient Americas, Europe, Japan and China, as well as contemporary works, are showcase in here. Moreover, Gardiner Museum is among the few ones in the world focused on ceramics and is one of the world’s most recognized in this field.
